Story:
Jazillah lives in KAMABUYE sector together with her both parents and 9 siblings. This family have 10 children in total and Jazillah is the 5th born. Her parents are poor, no house and no land to grow crops. They live in somebody’s house not renting. They cultivate for other people to survive. The farther said that it is a big burden to feed and educate all of their children; many times, they eat once a day. Before, Jazillah and his family members were living in GISENYI. They came to KAMABUYE in order to look for jobs and something to improve their lives.
Jazillah got pregnant and gave birth in the last year. She has a baby of one year. The man who made her pregnant has disappeared but the case was reported in security organs – RIB. They are still waiting for their feedback. The parents of Jazillah struggle to take care of Jazillah together with her baby. Even if all this happened to her, Jazillah did not stop her studies; AOF staff and school leaders helped her to keep continuing her studies and now she is in Secondary one and she performs well. AOF continues supporting her with school materials, school fees, health insurance, … This girl needs much care and follow up in order to prevent her drop out from school.
