It's with great enthusiasm that we unveil a major endeavor – the establishment of the Oasis Christian Academy. Our mission is to build not just a school, but a community underpinned by faith and strong values. Since our inception in 2022, the Africa Oasis Foundation has witnessed the profound impact of divine grace in our works and the lives of those we reach. Now, we feel a renewed divine call to action and invite you to partake in the journey ahead.
Reflecting on the past year and our engagement with over 100 young minds, we recognize the burgeoning need for nurturing future generations. Our commitment is unwavering – to invest in the nurturing, education, and mentoring of children from nursery through to high school.
The imperative for Oasis Christian Academy is clear, grounded in three observed realities:
· A scarcity of Christ-centered education in Rwanda, leaving many without spiritual role models.
· Alarming reports of abuse amongst secondary school students by those entrusted with their care.
· An educational system heavily reliant on memorization, inadequately equipping students with critical thinking, problem-solving, and entrepreneurial skills essential for their future success.
Driven by these insights and after seeking divine guidance, we've embarked on the path to create an institution that will continue to foster the positive transformations begun in the lives of our sponsored children. With substantial groundwork already laid out in the past 5-10 months, including expert consultations and constructive dialogues, we're poised to take the next step.
So, what's the current status?
We have plans drawn up for the school are ready, and we've onboarded a distinguished educator and devout individual to lead as the Head of School. The current goal is to raise $1.5 million for the initial phase – the construction of the school set to commence in 2024. Adhering to our principle of financial responsibility, we're determined to progress without incurring debt, which brings us to seek your partnership.
