Belise lives in the Ngeruka Sector with her grandmother, as her parents have separated. Her father resides in the Eastern Province of Rwanda, while her mother lives in Uganda. The family lives in a poor house with no land to farm. Her grandmother is unable to work, and they struggle to afford food and clothing. However, they are able to raise goats for additional support. Belise enjoys studying and is eager to continue her education.
