Geoffrey lives in the Kamabuye Sector with both of his parents and two siblings. His family does not own a house; they rent a small, poorly maintained one. They have a small plot of land, but it is insufficient to grow enough crops for their consumption. Often, they have to rent additional land to plant crops for food. In order to earn money, Geoffrey's parents also work as laborers on other people's farms. His mother, who has sewing skills, is talented at making clothes, but she does not have a sewing machine to use for work.
Geoffrey's parents are proud of him for his good behavior. They say he is dedicated to his education, always performing well in school, often ranking first or second in his class. He is also a regular churchgoer, attending every Sunday. As the eldest child in the family, Geoffrey plays an important role at home, helping with chores like cleaning the house, washing dishes, and doing laundry.
